Project plan
Material (five weeks)
Within this project there’s an important focus on material. The material we’re working with is raw earth. In the first stage, I would work collectively with other designers who share the same interests in raw earth, and how to use it. We would spend three weeks experimenting with different substances and proportions to figure out a solid, sturdy raw earth brick. In this stage, we would also dive deeper into existing techniques to better our product. The goal is to design a recipe for a brick. This brick should be specific for the area in The Netherlands, where we will build.
Brick (two weeks)
In this stage, people who don’t necessarily have any design backgrounds, but are willing to learn new skills and meanwhile work on individual life projects (designs by the pluriverse) come in. Together, we will spend two weeks and building the bricks. The goal is to create enough bricks for the final weeks. We work on site where people will learn how to work collaboratively and understand better what soil really is, the value of soil, and the different kinds.
Building (three weeks)
In the last three weeks are meant for designing. In these weeks, a project plan is developed with me (and the other designers), and an architect. We take the lead. We focus on creating a communal architectural piece. It’s important to also involve the ‘brick builders’ in this process to come to a final design. Everyone should contribute and then receive a sense of contentment when building in the next stage.

In the next stage, the plan should be executed.
My project’s goal is to create connection between human and nature again in a communal setting. We will do this by building a communal architectural piece collectively. There are several stages to this project which all have their own importance.
